The media plays a crucial role in raising awareness of domestic and sexual violence in our community and prompting productive conversations about the challenges survivors face. With that, we encourage our local media to provide coverage of this powerful event including the scheduled speakers, performers, collective members and attendees but do ask that the following guidelines be followed in regards to the survivor speak-outs:

- No audio and/or video recordings or photographs of survivor speak-outs. We recognize that this is a public event and those sharing their stories are doing so by choice, but to respect the privacy and dignity of our participants we ask you refrain from recording this portion.
- Do not use direct quotes of survivor speak-outs; without expressed permission. Similar to the above guideline, this event is meant to be a safe space and quotes can frequently be taken out of context on such sensitive topics. Also, be respectful of a survivors personal space if wanting to ask permission for quotes- we ask that you do not approach an individual survivor unless you have some prior connection with them.
