The annual Take Back the Night event is organized by a community collective who chooses the year's theme, speakers, and performers, and engages the community in the planning and production of the event. We strive for a diverse collective, both in identities and skills, to ensure our event represents as many voices and experiences as possible. In addition to the planning aspect of the collective, it is a goal to make the meetings a safe space to discuss these complex issues and how we as individuals can best challenge the attitudes and beliefs that perpetuate such violence in our own communities.
Collective meetings take place virtually and a link will be sent to you upon registering to be part of the Collective. We will meet every Wednesday from March through April, from 6-7 pm. We welcome community members to join the collective at any time!
If you are interested in being a part of the 2021 Collective, please fill out the form below to let us know you will be attending the first meeting and to receive directions to the office. Also, if you can’t make the meetings you can still receive e-collective communications and be able to contribute to the planning if you would like.
