Advocacy Center
The Advocacy Center is a community agency that increases safety and reduces trauma for men, women and children impacted by intimate partner violence, sexual assault, rape and child sexual abuse. The Advocacy Center a leading organizers for Take Back the Night. Advocates at the Advocacy Center have specialized training in the medical, legal and emotional needs and rights of survivors of intimate partner violence, sexual assault and rape. As certified rape crisis counselors any communication about sexual assault between the advocate and survivor are protected by law and cannot be disclosed without the survivors consent. An advocate’s role is listen to the survivor’s needs, connect them to resources, inform them about their rights and ensure their voice is heard.

National Sexual Violence Resource Center
The National Sexual Violence Resource Center (NSVRC) opened in July 2000 as a national information and resource hub relating to all aspects of sexual violence. The NSVRC staff collects and disseminates a wide range of resources on sexual violence including statistics, research, position statements, statutes, training curricula, prevention initiatives and program information.
